Overview
A porta cabin — short for portable cabin — is a factory-built room delivered to your site ready to use: walls, roof, flooring, doors, windows and wiring complete, needing only a level base and a power connection.
Structurally, a porta cabin is a welded steel frame clad with insulated sandwich panels (PUF, EPS or Rockwool core between steel sheets), mounted on a rigid base that lets the whole finished room be lifted, transported and placed again. Interiors are finished like any office or room — laminated walls, vinyl flooring, LED lighting, switches and sockets — and layouts range from a compact guard post to multi-room offices with toilets, pantries and air-conditioning provision.

It needs a level base — compacted ground, plinth or concrete blocks — plus truck access and a crane or hydra for placement. Knock-down versions can be assembled on site where cranes cannot reach.
As a movable structure without a foundation it generally is not treated as regular construction, but land-use rules vary by municipality and land type. Confirm with your local authority, especially for commercial placement.
