Here is the honest problem in this trade. Two quotations can describe the same size cabin, sit a long way apart on price, and look identical on a single sheet of paper. The difference is usually in things the sheet does not mention. Before approving a quotation, ask the supplier to clearly state the panel specification, structural frame, flooring, roof treatment, electrical scope, exclusions and responsibility after delivery. The final scope for your cabin is the specification recorded in the approved quotation and drawing. Why those particular things. The panel decides whether the cabin is bearable in April, and it is the easiest place to quietly save money. The frame is invisible once the cabin is finished, which is exactly why it belongs on paper. The flooring build-up decides how the floor feels in year three. And transport and craning, which should be in the quotation rather than added afterwards. The estates here are established, which means the internal roads are built up, the plots are occupied and the space between sheds is not what it looked like on the layout plan. Delivery is less about the highway and more about the last hundred metres. What we check with you before dispatch: the width of your gate and whether the vehicle can turn once inside, overhead cables across the entrance, room for the hydra to stand and swing without fouling a shed or a compound wall, and whether the exact spot is level and firm. If your gate is genuinely tight, say so early. Sometimes the answer is a smaller cabin, sometimes two joined units instead of one large one, sometimes a different placement inside the yard.
